Nicole Johnson, Inc. is involved in various facets of government relations from patient advocacy, to grassroots mobilization, to healthcare company representation and funding. In partnership with the American Diabetes Association, NJI has been successful in helping to pass insurance legislation on the state level providing improved access to care for patients with diabetes. NJI has been involved acquiring substantial funding awards for biotech companies in product development and testing. Currently, NJI is involved in school related legislation, appropriations requests, product development in cooperation with the Defense Department and strategic planning for various Departments of Health on the state and federal levels.

In the corporate sector, NJI is working to create diabetes awareness programs with Animas Corporation, and Eli Lilly. The programs range from patient motivation to general awareness of diabetes and prevention of complications. NJI also reviews corporate materials that relate to diabetes and advises on language, content and distribution. With other clients, NJI is working on program development and strategy.
